Farm & Ranch Management 101 Workshop
Looking for ways to improve your decision matrix for managing your farm or ranch? Check out this 3 day workshop!
We will have presentations and demonstrations covering:
1. Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS):
- Learn how to develop a conservation plan.
- Explore programs your operation may be eligible for, such as EQIP.
- Get help with the application process for these programs.
2. Farm Service Agency (FSA):
- Learn how to set up farm records.
- Receive technical assistance.
- Understand how to enroll in eligible programs.
- Get an overview of farm loans and how to complete loan applications.
3. Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA):
- Discover programs designed for producers.
- Learn about Certified Farmers Markets and Food Assistance Programs.
- Dive into the Young Farmers Grant.
4. Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC):
- Learn about membership and support for veteran farmers.
- Explore programs like MarketMaker and Homegrown by Heroes.
- Understand how to apply for the Fellowship Fund Grant.
5. Special Session with Doug Havemann and Erin Kimbrough:
- Learn about the Farmers Market Promotion Program Grant and the Young Farmers Grant.
- Understand how to read grant application instructions.
- Participate in a hands-on grant writing session with feedback.
