BGBG: Introduction to Production Agriculture Boot Camp

About the Program

BattleGround to Breaking Ground – Introduction to Production Agriculture Boot Camp is designed to help participants with limited agriculture experience understand Farm Safety & Food Safety, Business Planning & Business Management, Diversification & Marketing Strategies, Financial & Risk Management, Agriculture Rehabilitation & Vocational Training Opportunities for Veterans, Land Management & Conservation Practices including Natural Resource Management, Basic Vegetable & Row Crop Production, Basic Livestock Production, and Alternative & Value-Added Agriculture Enterprises.

Upon completion of this in-person 5-day workshop, participants will have a better understanding of basic Farm & Ranch management, the resources available to assist them in their endeavors, and help build a network of producers and agencies to assist participant’s. Successful completion of this workshop will also increase participant’s chances of submitting a successful application for the Tuition Waiver for the BattleGround to Breaking Ground Traditional or Condensed Program.

Locations

This workshop will be completed in-person in College Station.

Program Dates

This workshop is offered twice a year with start dates in January and September. Our next Boot Camp is scheduled for 27-31 January 2025.

Cost: $125 Per Person

NOTE: If you are applying for a Tuition Waiver for planning to pay the Tuition for the BattleGround to Breaking Ground Traditional or Condensed Program, do not use this registration. Those that receive a Tuition Waiver or pay the Tuition for the Traditional or Condensed Program will receive a different link to register for  Basic Training / Boot Camp.
