
Please join us on April 15th 8am for this educational workshop that focuses on Farmer’s Markets and organizing community events. We will take an in-depth look at a Farmer’s Market as a direct marketing strategy for farmers, ranchers and local crafts people.
Participants will learn about:
- organizing a market
- recruiting and selecting vendors
- tips on marketing and selling self/farm produced products
Vendors and market staff will be available to answer questions. A follow up hands-on educational opportunity will be held on May 19th-20th where participants will have an opportunity to join a farm crew as they prepare for a market. Then on Sunday, May 20th, participants will have a chance to set up with local vendors for the day to see how a vendor’s booth is run.
