The workshop will be held at the Farmer Education and Training (FEAT) Farm at 729 CR 931, Flat, Texas 76528 on 25 and 26 January 2020 from 9:00 am until 5 pm for both days.
The workshop is a two-day workshop designed to teach participants some of the basics of welding around the farm/ranch. This will not certify anyone in welding, but it will teach the basic concepts.
Workshop sessions will include:
- Designing a pipe fence
- Arc welding
- Cutting torch
- Setting corner posts
- Setting line posts
- Cutting saddles
- Welding pipe rails

Curious about what regulations might cover your intended plans for tapping into the groundwater? Come join us in learning about Groundwater Conservation and find the answers to these common questions and more.
The morning session will be taking place at the Gatesville Civic Center. We will move to the FEAT Farm for the hands on portion and demonstrations for the afternoon sessions. Please be sure to wear long pants, closed toe shoes, and be prepared for cold weather for the afternoon sessions.

Join us for a Chicken 101 workshop in Coryell County (Flat), Texas. This workshop is a two-day workshop designed to provide information about chickens and is open to all producers.
Workshop sessions will include:

- Basics of Raising Chickens

Participants will learn the basic concepts of chicken breeds, raising chickens, processing chickens, and building a chicken tractor.

Workshop cost is $50 which includes breakfast, lunch, and drinks for both days.
Birds processed at the workshop are available for purchase for $15 a bird. If you plan to purchase a processed bird, please bring a cooler for transport home after the workshop. Also, please only 1 pre-purchase of a processed bird to allow everyone an opportunity to purchase a bird. Participants will be able to purchase additional processed birds depending on available birds at the end of the workshop.
Please make sure to wear something comfortable (with long pants and closed toe shoes) and warm as we will be outdoors.
